Ringfence

Terms of Use

Last updated 9 September 2026

What Ringfence is

Ringfence identifies and blocks unwanted phone calls and text messages on your iPhone, using Apple's Call Directory, Live Caller ID Lookup and Message Filter extensions. iOS decides what those extensions are allowed to do; Ringfence supplies the data they act on.

What Ringfence does not promise

Subscriptions

Live Protection is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings; uninstalling the app does not cancel it. Prices are shown in your storefront's currency before you buy. Core call blocking does not require a subscription and continues if you cancel.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ringfence to harass anyone, to evade lawful contact, or to build a competing dataset from its published lists.

Liability

Ringfence is provided as is. It is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it to receive calls you cannot afford to miss; check your blocked and screened lists if an expected call does not arrive.
